Volunteer at NYCHAPS

The Northern York County Historical and Preservation Society relies on the talents and contributions of its volunteers to achieve it’s mission.  Many important opportunities exist that allow volunteers to preserve our heritage in meaningful ways by using a myriad of skills and abilities.  If you have availability and passion for history, there is a place at NYCHAPS for you.

Current Volunteer Needs

We are looking for friendly faces to volunteer in our gift shop, helping to oversee the shop and complete transactions during events, farmers markets and tours.  Please contact edelp@northernyorkhistorical.org or complete our form to volunteer.

NYCHAPS is establishing a Wednesday warrior team to oversee projects and maintenance tasks on the Dills Tavern and Maple Shade Barn properties.  If you are interested in coordinating efforts or participating, please Please contact edelp@northernyorkhistorical.org for more information.

Our touring season has begun  and we are seeking docents who are available to give tours of Dills Tavern on Sunday afternoons.  Training and study resources are provided.  Please contact edelp@northernyorkhistorical.org to learn how to join the docent team.
