The Northern York County Historical and Preservation Society relies on the talents and contributions of its volunteers to achieve it’s mission. Many important opportunities exist that allow volunteers to preserve our heritage in meaningful ways by using a myriad of skills and abilities. If you have availability and passion for history, there is a place at NYCHAPS for you.
Current Volunteer Needs
We are looking for friendly faces to volunteer in our gift shop, helping to oversee the shop and complete transactions during events, farmers markets and tours. Please contact knellis@northernyorkhistorical.org or complete our form to volunteer.
Our touring season has begun and we are seeking docents who are available to give tours of Dills Tavern on Sunday afternoons. Training and study resources are provided. Please contact knellis@northernyorkhistorical.org to learn how to join the docent team.
