Looking back over 2016, there are many things I am grateful for. We continued offering great events and hands-on educational experiences for school children, all while expanding our events calendar to feature new favorites like Oysterfest and the Honey & the Hog Festival. I am very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of volunteers to call on for any number things. Your commitment to this organization not only fuels my passion, and is infectious to newcomers visiting our properties for the first time.
Looking ahead, the 2017 looks even more impressive than the year we just finished. Thanks to Rich and Nancy Eichelberger’s generous donation in 2016 and donation match in 2017, we can begin the process of developing the new parcel of land, moving our organization closer to our goal of long term sustainability for our organization. Finally, the partnership with the Dillsburg Farmer’s Market has the opportunity to enrich our already robust offering of local Agriculture history by showcasing those farmers who continue that work today.
Happy Holidays and see you around the properties next year!
