Learn how to tap trees for sap and boil it down for fresh maple syrup. Throughout February and March, NYCHAPS will be tapping maple trees in the Northern York County region. If you have maple trees on your property at least 27” in diameter, or if you’d like to learn how to make maple syrup, email director@northernyorkhistorical.org or call 717-432-4228 to get involved. The tree tapping will be followed by a syrup boil at Dill’s Tavern on Saturday, March 11th, 2017.
