Farmer’s Fair at Dill’s Tavern

Pumpkins, apple butter, and fresh cider — it’s harvest season! Celebrate the 101st anniversary of Farmer’s Fair at Dill’s Tavern and Plantation from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 15th, during a day of demonstrations and festivities including activities for children and living history encampments. Take part in traditional craft demonstrations such as hearth cooking (with food samples!), blacksmithing, woodworking, and broom making. Help make apple butter from cider pressed at Agriculture Day earlier in the season. Local beekeeper Greg Hildebrand will be demonstrating the benefits of having an apiary for land management. Freshly made potato chips and sandwiches will be on sale, along with honey, cider, and cigars made with Dill’s Tavern tobacco. Raffle tickets for a child’s replica Harvard wagon will be available for $10 each or three for $25.
