Travel from colonial times all the way up through World War II at Publick Tyme, an annual fair where you can watch history come alive on Saturday, May 12th, from 9am to 4pm. The grounds and buildings at Dill’s Tavern will be filled with reenactors, demonstrators, and exhibits including an automobile show and a Horseless Carriage Club Show. And while you’re downtown, drop by Picklefest on Greenbrier Lane. Both events are free and open to the public.
The Northern York County Historical and Preservation Society (NYCHAPS) strives to inspire by connecting the lessons of the past to the challenges of today. Through hands-on experience, the past culture of the area is brought to life in a deeper and richer educational experience. Through preservation, research, and our collections, NYCHAPS seeks to inspire a different way of learning history.
