We’re sad to make this announcement but Publick Tyme 2020 has officially been canceled for this year. Please read the details regarding Covid-19’s role and more below. Thank you for your understanding during this time.
As you all are aware, we are in the midst of a challenging health crisis. As a result of recent recommendations from both the PA Department of Health and the CDC “for the next 8 weeks, organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States” we feel we have no other choice than to cancel this event.
Please know this decision was made with careful consideration and while we are deeply disappointed, we do feel it is important to the health & safety of our performers, audience, volunteers, and staff that we honor this recommendation.
CDC recommends canceling events with 50 or more people for the next eight weeks throughout US – Interim Guidance for COVID-19 https://www.cdc.gov/…/mass-gatherings-ready-for-covid-19.ht…
Large events and mass gatherings can contribute to the spread of COVID-19 in the United States via travelers who attend these events and introduce the virus to new communities. Examples of large events and mass gatherings include conferences, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, weddings, and other types of assemblies. These events can be planned not only by organizations and communities but also by individuals.

The Wolf Administration strongly encourages the suspension of large gatherings, events, conferences of more than 10 people, and per White House guidelines, ask that individuals and groups cancel any gatherings planned over the next eight weeks.

You’ll want to get this on your calendar: Publick Tyme has exciting free events this year!
Join us in Dillsburg for a day of live bluegrass, Americana, and folk music, plus a biergarten featuring new and upcoming breweries in the Northern York County area. Interact with living history reenactors roaming the Dill’s Tavern grounds from Colonial America all the way up through World War II and shop for the perfect gift from an array of vendors selling their wares.
This year’s Publick Tyme will take place on Saturday, May 9th from 8 am to 3 pm in conjunction with Dillsburg Picklefest right across the street on Greenbrier Lane. Quilts and quilt-making will be on display all day at the Maple Shade Barn. Come downtown to Dillsburg for a day of fun — rain or shine — and make sure to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the music! All events are free and open to the public.
MUSIC
11 am to noon: Shrimp Ryan’s Jig Band – Old-time Appalachia
12:30 pm to 1:30 pm: Devon Polulak – Original acoustic country and folk
Additional vendors and musicians will be added so check back frequently for updates to this great day!
