Join us for a High Tea and Fashion Display in the styles of Queen Marie Antoinette and Jane Austen. This year marks the 225th anniversary of the passing of Queen Marie Antoinette, the last Queen of France, and the 200th anniversary of the passing of the Novelist Jane Austen of England.
Celebrate these two extraordinary 18th century women at Dill’s Tavern with an afternoon of food and fashion.
Enjoy a period style tea celebrating these two ladies while savoring a menu of delicious, in house made foods from 1770-1817. Included will be a Fashion Display of 1775-1817 Antique & Reproduction Fashions from the Collection of April C. Thomas. Elegant, black “mourning” dress encouraged…but not required!
