Are you new to beekeeping? Do you want a refresher on beekeeping basics? Or are you considering beekeeping as a hobby but don’t know where to start? We’ve got you covered.
Greg Hildebrand will teach a beginner’s beekeeping class at Dill’s Tavern aimed at helping participants get the most out of a nucleus hive — a small honey bee colony created from a larger colony. He’ll give practical guidance that covers all the basics and go over mistakes that you can easily avoid. This class will have a general outline but will be largely influenced by your questions and the specific information you’re looking to learn. Students will leave with a handout of important points to remember and a pack of mixed wildflower seeds to plant at home to keep our local bees happy!
$10 registration fee. Online tickets are limited to the first 35 registrants and sales end 48 hours before event.
