Join us for a hog roast, honey pairings, honeybee arts products, and apiculture education, plus live music and passionate local vendors on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from noon to 5pm. Admission to the event is free, with donations gratefully accepted. We are encouraging families to show up early, set up a picnic blanket, and stay all day for the food, festivities, arts and produce. This event is a community festival for all ages interested in our sustainable heritage, a summer celebration at the intersection of agriculture and apiculture designed to enrich our minds and pallets with a collective understanding of how bees support nearly a third of our food chain. Please note that this year’s Honey & The Hog is not a BYOB event because we will be offering local beer, cider, and mead for sale.
Education Schedule:
At 12:30 and 3pm, learn about apiculture during a 30-minute discussion from modern-day commercial beekeeper Greg Hildebrand.
Music Schedule:
Noon – The Gregorys
1pm – Jacob Puliti
2pm – Vincent Yarnell
3pm – Shine Delphi
4pm – Run the Willow
Food Offerings: Honey Bee Friendly, LLC
Jack & Joan’s Kettlecorn The Sweet Patch
Smoked sausages and smoked cheese prepared in our very own smokehouse on the property.
