Pumpkins, apple butter, and fresh cider — it’s harvest season! Celebrate the 103rd anniversary of Farmer’s Fair at Dill’s Tavern from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, October 20th, during a day of demonstrations and festivities including activities for children and living history encampments. Take part in traditional craft demonstrations such as hearth cooking (with food samples!), blacksmithing, and woodworking. Help make apple butter from cider pressed at Agriculture Day earlier in the season. Freshly made potato chips and sandwiches will be on sale, along with honey, cider, and cigars made with Dill’s Tavern tobacco. Tickets for the annual quilt raffle will be available for $2 each or three for $5.
