The Director of the Northern York County Historical and Preservation Society (NYCHAPS) will be the main representative of NYCHAPS to the public and outside organizations, a positive representative to the community at large, overseeing all office tasks and acting as an administrative assistant. The director will coordinate public relations and advertising, creating visibility to proper audiences for NYCHAPS facilities and programs.

Learn how to tap trees for sap and boil it down for fresh maple syrup. Throughout February and March, NYCHAPS will be tapping maple trees in the Northern York County region. The tree tapping will be followed by a syrup boil at Dill’s Tavern on Saturday, March 11th, 2017.
Join us for fresh maple syrup, pancakes, and sausage at a breakfast where we showcase the amber bounty harvested by the volunteers of this year’s Maple Tree Tapping and Syrup Boil on Saturday, March 18th, 2017. Admission is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children 5 to 12 years.
