Enjoy a proper afternoon tea in the ballroom of historic Dill’s Tavern on Saturday, May 6th. Guests will enjoy a handmade menu of traditional foods such as fresh scones, cakes, and sandwiches paired with a variety of teas.

Publick Tyme

Travel from colonial times all the way up through World War II at Publick Tyme, an annual fair where you can watch history come alive on Saturday, May 13th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dill’s Tavern.

Pine Needle Weaving Workshop

Learn the indigenous American art of pine needle weaving on Saturday, May 27th, 2017, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Maple Shade Barn.

Fiber Arts at Maple Shade:

Honey & The Hog Festival

Join us for a community festival for all ages interested in our sustainable heritage, a summer celebration at the intersection of agriculture and apiculture designed to enrich our minds and pallets with a collective understanding of how bees support nearly a third of our food chain, on Saturday, June 17th, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Experience the history of beekeeping in America during hands-on workshop with Dill’s Tavern beekeeper Greg Hildebrand on Saturday, July 1st, from noon to 2 p.m.

Dill’s Tavern History Camp

Introduce your kids to a love of American history at Dill’s Tavern History Camp July 17th to July 21st. Open to any 3rd through 6th grade children, camp gives kids the opportunity to live and play like colonial children. A few daily activities will include fiber arts, metalworking, woodwork, candle making, and butter churning.
